Savour the atmosphere of the rain sodden 500cc class of the 1985 Dutch TT at Assen. For the second year in succession Honda's No 1 Freddie Spencer found it an unsociable place. He tangled with Frenchman Christian Sarron as the two skated round the first lap in a cloudburst and pushed the performance of their narrow strips of racing tyre rubber almost beyond the limits of adhesion. Even the wide treads of the sidecar crews had limitations - Webster and Hewitt suffered an horrendous crash, (without serious injury) right in front of the cameras whilst leading their race. Yes, yet again it's action all the way.
