TT 2011 Review DVD - Description

"One of the most impressive and comprehensive TT videos yet" Streetfighters

"Seat of the pants action" Fast Bikes

"The best coverage of the TT event to date" Road Racing Ireland

"The TT coverage gets better and better every year" Ride

"Sure to be in high demand" Irish Bike

Relive the action, drama and atmosphere of the amazing 2011 Isle of Man TT fuelled by Monster Energy. The Official Review features comprehensive coverage of every race, practice and the unique festival atmosphere which surrounds the world’s great road race. This is racing at its most extreme – speeds of more than 190mph just inches from hedges, houses and walls.

New trackside camera angles, breathtaking aerial footage and white-knuckle on-board sequences put you at the heart of the action for unrivalled race coverage, exclusive behind-the-scenes access and special features. This year revealing thermal imaging technology appears alongside the stunning ultra slow-motion camera footage. Once again, expert commentary and analysis comes courtesy of former racers Steve Parrish and James Whitham, and, new for 2011, TT-winner Steve Plater joins the team.

‘King of the Mountain’ John McGuinness reclaimed his crown with stunning rides in the Dainese Superbike and PokerStars Senior TT, although fan’s favourite Guy Martin made the Morecambe missile work for his 17th victory every mile of the way. Michael Dunlop, Bruce Anstey, Michael Rutter and the Sidecar team of Klaus Klaffenbock and Dan Sayle all made welcome returns to the top step of the TT podium, plus the 100th anniversary of racing on the legendary 37.7-mile Mountain course celebrated new victors – Lincolnshire’s Gary Johnson and TT Sidecar regulars John Holden and Andrew Winkle. Eight races, seven winners and some of the closest competition seen in a century of racing on the Moutain – and it is all here.

“The Official Review of the 2011 Tourist Trophy races is now available with 4 hours of high speed action with many bonus features. It’s the best coverage of the TT event to date that Road Racing Ireland has watched over the last 25 years, with many new camera angles and positions. To see how John McGuinness, Michael Dunlop, Bruce Anstey, Gary Johnson, Klaus Klaffenbock and John Holden won get your copy now” Road Racing Ireland

“This year’s TT was one of the more impressive…for the ultimate in slow-mo and eternal rewinds, you need the DVD…seat of the pants action” Fast Bikes

“Another addition to Duke Video’s seemingly endless catalogue of TT titles is a review of this year’s action – 4 hours of edge-of-the-seat racing at speeds of over 190moh just inches from hedges, houses and walls. As has become traditional, commentary is by Steve Parrish and Jamie Whitham, with TT winner Steve Plater joining the team for 2011. With new trackside camera angles…joining the astounding slow-motion, high def footage, this is perhaps one of the most impressive and comprehensive TT videos yet. If you were there, or you watched the footage on the telly, you’ll know the results, but that still won’t beat being able to review and replay the action at any time. And it makes for a superb Christmas present (hint, hint)” Streetfighters

  • TT DVD 2011
    by mark walls - 19-Oct-2011
have bought numerous TT dvd,s from duke but this one has to be the worst so far,the sound quality of the bikes is different to previous years, the sound is dulled, tinny and sounds almost like it is super imposed onto the film.Really disappointed as this makes a huge difference to your viewing pleasure, have contacted duke for a replacement, this is a known fault with the blu ray format and may be the same with the standard.

Thanks for highlighting this problem. Whilst we haven't heard the audio on the actual disc referred to here, checks on some other stock have revealed that there does appear to be a problem with some of our PAL (UK) DVD production discs. This only seems to affect the audio when played in standard stereo. (Discs played through a surround-sound amplifier in Dolby 5.1 should play OK.) The sound synchronisation may also be slightly out on part of the first Supersport Race. We are now encoding a new DVD master and a fresh batch of correct discs will be available by 7th November. If you are not happy with any aspect of your TT 2011 DVD, please return it for replacement. Send to Duke, FREEPOST, Douglas, Isle of Man IM99 1DD. We offer our apologies for this, a fortunately rare occurrence, and will give 250 Duke Club Points to anyone affected.
