Early morning commuters stare in disbelief as the mysterious biker screams past in a blur of chrome and leather. Huge lorries and lumbering tankers provide little obstacle for this fearless rider, who slaloms in and out with the agility of a cheetah, accelerating at four seconds to complete the 35 kilometre lap of one of the dealiest roads in France...the name of the Black Prince is written into biking legend forever.
Here, finally, is video proof of the existence of a figure who was previously held as a myth amongst all but a few of the biking fraternity. 'The Prince' recorded his duel with the Grim Reaper on video for the benefit of his many admirers who pay tribute in this short film.
