Description

Media-fuelled rivalries, on-bike battles and off-track fights have been a feature of MotoGP for decades. Here, the most intense clashes between championship series riders are shown along with candid interviews from those involved.

Sparks fly between arch-rivals Kevin Schwantz and Wayne Rainey in the seven years they graced the World Championship stage. Although they are now friends, their animosity spurred them to push their machines ever faster prompting the wheelies, twitches and powerslides that summed up the era of powerful, super-lightweight GP bikes.

Mick Doohan and Alex Criville also cross swords on the circuit, forming a highly entertaining sight as they nudge each other aside for the lead. Olivier Jacque and Shinya Nakano scrapped for seven months before the last lap of the World Championship, finishing within hundredths of a second for first and second place.

Valentino Rossi and Max Biaggi did little to hide their mutual dislike for each other, and the added pressure of the World Championship title led to fierce jostling on the track - endangering both at 200mph!

These champion riders give frank opinions of their former rivals, providing a rare, entertaining glimpse into the world of these masters of MotoGP.
