Formed in 1901 in Springfield, Massachusetts, Indian went on to become the largest motorcycle manufacturer not only in the United States, but the world. An initial chapter provides an overview of the company's history and is followed by a gallery of specially commissioned photographs spanning the marque's entire history through its demise in the early 1970s and its recent rebirth. Both production and race models are featured, memorabilia and evocative archival images depicting these classic motorcycles in the context of their eras.
